happy birthday to my love...

lisa celebrated a birthday a few weeks ago and i just got back my images that i would like to share. we went to the absolute best asian cuisine restaurant in lawrence, which happens to be owned by a dear friend of ours. to say the least, we had quite the feast that night. but more importantly, we had a wonderful night together without any outside distractions. something to be remembered and cherished forever. i captured it all on black and white because i find this film to be the most romantic and will always hold a nostalgic feel in my heart. the happiest birthday to my love...i love you, lis.

anniversary: weston, mo

a couple months ago lisa and i celebrated our first year together, as a married couple, in weston, missouri. it's a quaint little town in far western missouri and about an hour or so from lawrence, ks, which made it an ideal place to just get up and go for the day. we enjoyed the little shops and the small great places to eat and drink, but what impressed me most was the texture of the town. it had a very washed-out and rustic feel to it, which made me not want to leave. it's a great place to visit if anyone in the midwest is interested.
