Wow, what a weekend we had at the Engaged at Union Station bridal show! This was our first time participating in a bridal show and we had a blast meeting and talking to all the new brides and grooms! This was also our first time designing and setting up a bridal show booth. We loved the chance it gave us to find creative and artistic ways to display our photography.
For 2012, West Birch is excited to announce we now offer custom handmade framing services to our clients. We unveiled some of the framing options we offer at our booth at the bridal show. Our booth featured hand-carved frames from Kashal Art, our partnering company, that provides all of our framing services. All frames are custom made for our clients meaning no two frames will ever be identical. The possibilities for creating a one-of-a-kind pieces of art from your portraits are endless and make them that much more treasured as a work of art.
Here are some other custom frames provided by Kashal Art.
Our booth also featured the handmade albums we offer from Cypress Fine Albums. These albums really are the epitome of exquisite elegance. Brides loved both the traditional matted albums with their ribbon binding as well as the more contemporary flush mount albums with their library style binding.
We also displayed some of our prints in Cypress’ museum mat boards. We find there is something very beautiful about the simplicity of a photo displayed in these quality mat boards. They make for great unframed pieces.
Of course, a post of our bridal booth wouldn’t be complete without some pictures of the bridal booth details. As part of our fine art approach to photography, we truly believe that artistically captured details add a sense of wholeness to any story.
Antique Old World chairs added the perfect touch for our booth and brides definitely welcomed the chance to sit down for a moment and relax while they looked through our albums or described to us their plans for their wedding day.
Overall, the booth was a great success! Many, many thanks to the staff at Perfect Wedding Guide Kansas City, Cypress Albums, and Richard Photo Lab (especially Cohen at RPL who not only ensured I got perfect photos, but that they were sent on time). Also, none of this would be possible without all the support of both of our parents! Words cannot express how thankful we are for all the time and effort they devoted to helping us with the booth. Much thanks to my mom, who helped me scout out fabric stores to find just the right type of fabric to grace our booth walls and for gifting us with the antique family heirloom frame to display our company name and logo. Also big thanks to my in-laws who drove all the way from Chicago to deliver the frames and help us set up the booth. They worked tirelessly alongside us through several 12 hour days as they helped us build the booth walls, moved furniture, and set up and took down the booth. Their devotion to helping us with our first show will never be forgotten and we are forever indebted. Also, many thanks to our longtime family friends, Sharon and her mother, who were kind enough to loan us their antique chairs and planter. They added just the extra special touches that our booth needed. And last but not least, much thanks to everyone who stopped by our booth to visit with us! We’re definitely looking forward to all the weddings this year!
