Photo of the Week

I just love the in-between moments on any shoot. To me, they're more important than, say, the shoot itself. It's hard to capture truth when people are on-guard...therefore, people need to be off their game for that split second. Other people and the photographer need not exist. The moment is simply between two people and their emotions. This is what I itch to capture in every shoot I do. Without these moments, you simply have "photos." You need to have the preservation of memories that were built on a solid foundation of love between a couple. It's with this consciousness and effort that I approach each wedding or any other shoot.

Megan & Carl

I couldn't be more honored than to have been part of Megan & Carl's beautiful vineyard wedding and I'm super excited to finally be able to share this wedding. BlueJacket Crossing Vineyard did an amazing job hosting the wedding with the most wonderful open space available in Kansas City.

Howard

I was saddened to hear last week that Joseph's dear friend, Howard, had passed away. Howard was 94 and lived a great life and had great friends. You'll be sorely missed, my dear Howard.

Nicu - two months

Nicu at two months. There's not much that makes me happier than documenting my loving family. These are photos that will last for generations, both in print and in albums. And that makes me feel as if I will be remembered in some capacity.
